Meghan Markle Plots Biopic About Prince Harry Love Story That ‘Will Paint the Royals in a Terrible Light’ (Exclusive)

Meghan Markle wants to take her war with the royals to the big screen, a source tells Star.

After she and husband Prince Harry previously dissed his family’s treatment of them in a docuseries, memoir and variety of interviews, “there are ongoing talks about a warts-and-all biopic based on their love story,” reveals the source. “Meghan thinks it would turn the tides in their favor with the public.”

The Duchess of Sussex — who has accused her in-laws of racism, planting negative stories about her in the press and more — hasn’t been spotted in the U.K. since 2022.

“She says no one really grasps what she and Harry have lived through,” notes the source. “She believes that a film, if it’s done properly, will give people the chance to see their side of the story in a way no interview or book ever could.”

Meghan, 44, met Harry, 41, through a friend in 2016, and less than two years later, they tied the knot — with the redheaded prince claiming in his 2023 memoir, Spare, Princess Kate made the bride-to-be cry days before their wedding.

By 2020, the pair had had enough of the alleged royal mistreatment and fled to America.

“Harry and Meghan’s biopic would of course paint the royal family in a terrible light,” says the source. “She knows they’ll explode, but Meghan doesn’t seem at all worried over the backlash.”

Public opinion seems to be the only thing the With Love, Meghan star is concerned about.

Adds the source, “She’s sure that once people witness the full story arc, they’ll understand why she and Harry made the choices they did.”
