Kevin Jonas Threw Up While Wingmanning for Nick Jonas on His First Date With Priyanka Chopra

The Jonas brothers have always had each other’s backs, but Kevin Jonas recently revealed just how far that devotion can go.

On the Sunday, June 7, episode of the Hey Jonas podcast, Kevin, 38, shared a surprisingly candid confession: he threw up while helping his brother Nick Jonas impress now-wife Priyanka Chopra on their very first date.

“I wingmanned so hard I threw up in the bathroom and rallied,” Kevin said on the podcast.

Brother Joe Jonas, who was also on the episode, responded by playing a sad trombone sound effect, prompting Kevin to quickly correct course. “No, no, no! Praise! Clap, clap, clap,” he insisted.

Nick, for his part, was fully supportive of his older brother’s sacrifice. “It was a pro move,” he said.

The conversation was sparked by Nick’s mention that he and Chopra, 43, had just celebrated their eight-year anniversary of the 2018 date.

According to Nick’s earlier account on the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast, released March 5, the first date took place at the Hollywood Bowl, where the group watched a live performance of Beauty and the Beast. Nick said he deliberately made it a group outing to ease any pressure.

He explained, “I was like, ‘But let’s bring some friends so there’s less pressure.’ So it was like a group hang in case it wasn’t the vibe.”

On the Hey Jonas podcast, Nick noted that the couple has plenty to celebrate in the coming months. “In July it’s her birthday, the 18th,” he said. “Then on the 19th is our engagement anniversary, eight years, which is almost two months after we had our first date.”

Nick and Chopra first connected in 2016. “It was Nick who sent the first message,” Chopra told Vogue in 2018. Nick told the publication about seeing her before that momentous first date: “She walks into the Chateau [Marmont], and I feel an overwhelming sense of peace and understanding about this next chapter of my life.”

They got engaged in July 2018, married in India on December 1, 2018, and welcomed daughter Malti in January 2022.
