Margaret Qualley has turned to former The Substance costar Demi Moore for emotional support and guidance amid her shocking separation from husband Jack Antonoff, a source tells Star.
“Margaret got very close to Demi while they were filming together and they’ve stayed in touch ever since,” shares the source. “And now that Margaret is having to navigate this divorce, she’s leaning on Demi in a big way.”
Moore, 63, is “more than happy to help” Qualley, 31, the source says. “Let’s face it, there’s really no one better to help Margaret with this because if anyone knows how to deal with a high-profile split, it’s Demi.”
“Demi has told Margaret to reach out anytime she needs to talk,” reveals the source. “She’s there for her 100 percent, which is beyond generous, but that’s the way Demi is. She’s so nurturing.”
Moore has also “told Margaret that the key is to keep everything as clean as possible, even when emotions are running high,” spills the source. “It’s been very hard for Margaret because there are so many things she wants to say to defend herself but she’s staying totally silent and letting her team handle everything.
On Friday, July 10, Qualley’s representative issued a statement obtained by People, denying reports of “trust issues” or “infidelity” in her marriage to Antonoff, 42.
