Adele has taken a major step back from the spotlight after wrapping her Las Vegas residency, a source exclusively tells Star, the departure may be permanent.
“Adele’s been telling people she feels like she’s finally able to breathe again, getting a break from all the pressures of her career took its toll,” the source says. “These days she spends her time nesting with Rich [Paul] and living as normal a life as an A-list superstar can.”
According to the source, the “Rolling in the Deep” artist, 37, spends her time taking 12-year-old son Angelo to school, walking around the neighborhood and taking English literature classes.
“She’s still all about having a baby, that’s first and foremost, and slowing her life way down has been a big part of preparing for that,” the source notes. “She’s started saying she’s not sure she can ever go back to the crazy life of performing and being under the microscope constantly.”

Adele — who seemingly confirmed her engagement to sports agent Paul, 44, in August 2024 — made it clear that she intended to take a career break after her two-year residency at Caesars Palace.
“I’ve really enjoyed performing for nearly three years now, which is the longest I’ve ever done and probably the longest I would ever do,” she told the crowd at a September 2024 show. “I have 10 shows left after this … after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time, and I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break.”
Now, the source tells Star the British singer is “over the whole Hollywood thing.”
“She still loves Los Angeles but the fame game has lost its luster,” adds the source, “If Rich wasn’t so tied to America she’d be pushing to move back to England but that’s not really in the cards, for now she’s just going back home for lots of visits.”
