On Friday, July 3, the pop star and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 36, tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in a star-studded ceremony with many of Swift’s friends, including Selena Gomez, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, and Zoë Kravitz there to celebrate.
A source told Page Six on Friday that Lively didn’t make the guest list, explaining, “Taylor’s in a different place now and she just wants to be around people she trusts and who bring her peace.”
“It’s a shame because she and Blake really were close, but she doesn’t think it’s something that’s going to be fixed,” the source added. “As far as [Taylor’s] concerned, their friendship is done.”
Fans had speculated over the past few months about whether the Gossip Girl alum would be invited to the “Cruel Summer” singer’s ceremony, as there seemed to be a strain in their friendship amid Lively’s It Ends With Us legal battle.
In January, the A Simple Favor star and the 14-time Grammy Award winner’s private text messages were exposed in court documents obtained by Star.

In one text message sent in December 2024, Lively asked the singer-song-writer, “is everything ok?” confessing, “I felt like a bad friend lately because I was such a sad sack who only talked about my own s**t for months. You were generous to not only be the key person there for me during all of it, but also to let me off the hook for being so in it.”
Swift responded that, “in recent months, I had been feeling a little bit of a shift in the way you talk to me.”
“Yes there has been a lot of the Justin stuff but I’ve been through things like this before and I know how all consuming it is,” she further wrote. “It’s more like… and I feel really bad saying anything about this because your texts have been so nice in their intent but your last few…. its felt like I was reading a mass corporate email sent to 200 employees. You said the word ‘we’ like 18 times.”

At one point, the Blake Brown founder seemingly referred to Swift and her husband Ryan Reynolds as her “dragons,” in a text to her It Ends With Us costar and director Justin Baldoni.
“Taylor was Blake’s very best friend before this nightmare engulfed their world,” a source told Star in May. “It remains to be seen if she’ll be inviting Blake and Ryan to her wedding, but regardless of that, they hope that as time passes things will steadily soften and in the not-too-distant future it’ll all be water under the bridge.”
Lively’s legal battle began in December 2024 when she sued the Jane the Virgin star, 42, for sexual harassment, among other claims, as well as his production studio Wayfarer Studios. In April, a judge threw out 10 of 13 claims in her lawsuit, including all the ones against Baldoni. On Monday May, 4, Lively and Wayfarer Studios settled the case, opting not to go to trial.

“You were left with a case that was really Blake Lively versus It Ends with Us, the movie LLC, the agency group, and Wayfarer Studios, so it was a very different case at the point in time that we had those settlement discussions than ever was before,” Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freedman told Extra in May.
“This is not his settlement,” Freedman added of Baldoni. “He’s already out of the case by the time this settlement discussion even starts. Justin Baldoni is not a party, and that’s what gets forgotten a lot.”
