Chris Hemsworth’s Wife Elsa Pataky Wants To Be Known As More Than Just a ‘Super Beautiful Super Mom’

Elsa Pataky is pushing hard to take her Hollywood career to new heights, reveals a source, who says it bugs her that she’s seen by many as living in husband Chris Hemsworth‘s shadow.

The Fast & Furious star, 50, “is more known as a super beautiful super mom these days than an actress,” the source tells Star. “But now that her kids are becoming teens, she’s ready to get back in the game and she does have the wind at her back.”

On Monday, November 10, Deadline reported that Pataky — who shares daughter India, 14, and 12-year-old twin sons Tristan and Sasha with Hemsworth, 42 — has been cast alongside Jessica Alba in the forthcoming spy thriller film, The Mark.

“People want to see her do Nicole Kidman-style projects, juicy streaming dramas where she can lean into her natural, age-defying sex appeal,” adds the source. “This has always been the long-term goal, even after she settled down with Chris and had a family.”

Of course, having Hemsworth’s Hollywood connections certainly doesn’t hurt.

“She and Chris are scouting out projects for her and working the phones,” reveals the source, adding that the couple have some “very famous friends who are fans and dying to work with Elsa,” including Matt Damon, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski.

“Elsa finally realizes what she has and how to use it, and she knows loads of people who are ready to help her,” says the source. “She’s chomping at the bit to show how worthy she is and not just Mrs. Hemsworth in the eyes of some fans and certain Hollywood types who undoubtedly see her in that bracket.”
