Chris Hemsworth revealed that he was once denied the ability to board an international flight after getting his kids’ passports mixed up at the airport.
The Thor actor, 42, and his wife, Elsa Pataky, sat down for an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, where they were asked questions about being a couple, including which of them is most likely to forget their passport.
Both of them agreed it would be Hemsworth, who proved it by sharing the story of the time it kind of happened. “I actually went to the airport once and I had my daughter’s passport instead of my son’s passport… They kind of look the same,” the Aussie star explained.
“They don’t,” Pataky, 49, added.

The couple shares daughter India Rose, 14, and 12-year-old twin boys, Sasha and Tristan. While the boys may look alike since they’re twins, Pataky doesn’t agree that they’re easy to mix up with India — neither did airport security.
“I said, ‘Oh, yeah, this is her.’ And they were like, ‘That’s a boy. No,’” he revealed with a slightly embarrassed smirk. “So, yeah, that didn’t work.”
Hemsworth and Pataky got married in 2010, and have been together ever since as they both continue their acting careers. Hemsworth is set to reprise his role as the god of thunder in Avengers: Doomsday, where he’ll be joined by India, who played Thor’s adopted daughter, Love, in Thor: Love and Thunder. She will also reprise her role in the upcoming superhero film.

Despite letting his kid be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he previously told ET Online in 2023 that he doesn’t necessarily want her to be a child actor.
“I want her to have a childhood,” he explained. “And I think so does she.”
“But I said, ‘There’s plenty of time, sweety. Go to school, horse ride, have fun, be a kid,” he added. “Because once the train moves, it’s pretty hard to get off, and you miss a lot of things.”
