Britney Spears’ Mom Lynne Reintroduces Herself to the World, Says She’s ‘Happy’ Following ‘Ups and Downs’

Britney Spears‘ mom Lynne Spears is planning to share more about her life online.

On Thursday, July 30, Lynne, 71, posted a video on Instagram reintroducing herself to the world and reflecting on her past. In the video, Lynne sat at a table outside, wore a white collared shirt and left her hair down.

“Hi, I’m Lynne Spears. I am a born-and-raised Louisiana girl, always have been. I became a teacher, married, had three children, and lived my life according to my children’s schedule ’cause that’s what made me happy,” she admitted. “I have loved every bit of my life. I know we’ve had ups and downs, but now it’s time for me to reflect on me.”

Lynne — who divorced Britney’s dad Jamie in 2002 — went on to say, “I’m going to share with you a few of the things I love most,” noting first it would be her faith, then gardening, cooking, projects around the house and fitness.

“Good friends just help my life keep growing with laughter,” she added. “I love my life right now, and I’m very happy to be where I am, and I’d like to share a few of these things with you along the way.”

In her caption, Lynne wrote: “Hi y’all, I’m Lynne 🤍 Louisiana girl, mama, grandma, and lover of slow mornings, sweet tea, and a good back porch. I’ve always loved projects and life has a funny way of nudging you when it’s time for something new. This is my something new.”

“Around here you’ll find my kitchen, my garden, and all the little things that bring me joy,” she concluded her caption. “Nothing fancy just my life, and I’m so glad you’re here for it!”

The Princess of Pop, 44, and her mother have had a strained relationship over the years. In 2021, Britney alleged it was her mother who wanted her in a conservatorship, writing in a since-deleted Instagram post, “my dad may have started the conservatorship 13 years ago … but what people don’t know is that my mom is the one who gave him the idea,” per Page Six.

The “Toxic” singer’s conservatorship officially ended on November 12, 2021.

In August 2022, Lynne posted a throwback black-and-white snap of her and Britney on Instagram and addressed her broken relationship with the Grammy Award winner in her caption.

“Britney, your whole life I have tried my best to support your dreams and wishes! And also, I have tried my best to help you out of hardships!” Lynne insisted. “I have never and will never turn my back on you! Your rejections to the countless times I have flown out and calls make me feel hopeless! I have tried everything. I love you so much, but this talk is for you and me only, eye to eye, in private. ❤️🙏.”

Page Six reported that in 2023 the mother-daughter duo had a brief reunion as Lynne went over to Britney’s house.
