Adele and Rich Paul’s Marriage Plans Hit a Roadblock Over Geography
Adele revealed last year that she was taking an “incredibly long” break from music so that she can finally marry fiancé Rich Paul and start a family with him.
But the English singer and the L.A.-based super sports agent have hit a speed bump: geography.
“Adele has said her heart belongs in the U.K.,” says a source, and she’d like to spend more time there. “But Rich is one of the most powerful sports agents in the world, and he needs to be in L.A. They’d probably be married already if it weren’t for this continental divide.” Complicating the “Hello” singer’s desire to settle down across the pond, the 36-year-old splashed out for extensive renovations on the Beverly Hills mansion she bought with Rich, 44 – which happens to be across the street from the home of her ex-husband, Simon Konecki, dad to her 12-year-old son, Angelo. “Simon bought that house so that Angelo would be near both his parents,” says the source. “And if Adele moves back to the U.K., Simon would have something to say about it.”
