The beloved royals joined Queen Camilla and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester at a reception at St. James’s Palace in London on Tuesday, June 2, celebrating the 125th anniversary of Cancer Research U.K, per the official website.
The evening represented a special milestone for the royal family, with Charles and Princess Kate making their first joint appearance at a cancer event since both opened up about their own cancer battles in 2024.

Tuesday’s reception was also Princess Kate’s first public outing in several weeks, as she had taken time away from her duties during her children’s school half-term break.
Last December, the King offered a hopeful update, saying his treatment would be scaled back in the coming year.

He took on the role of Cancer Research U.K. patron in 2024, shortly after resuming his public duties following his diagnosis.
Meanwhile, the Princess of Wales disclosed her own cancer diagnosis the following month, in March 2024, and pulled back from royal engagements to concentrate on her health.
She completed chemotherapy by September 2024 and announced on Instagram that she was in remission in January 2025.
