Reese Witherspoon ‘Proud of What She’s Achieved’ in Her Career Amid Milestone Birthday
Reese Witherspoon has been planning her March 22 50th birthday celebration for months. In November, she revealed she’d be spending the milestone with her youngest child, son Tennessee, 13, “tootling around” Europe. “It’s just me and him,” the Morning Show star told Harper’s Bazaar, adding that visiting friends in Italy is on the itinerary.
As for reaching a new decade, Reese, who has parlayed her early stardom into her own empire, isn’t looking back. “I think it’s great to be wiser and understand your place in business,” she told the mag, adding, “I love my job. I love my fans. I’m the captain of my own destiny.” And the twice-divorced star, currently dating financier Oliver Haarmann, loves giving a leg-up to other women, producing female-centric fare like Big Little Lies. Says an insider, “She’s proud of what she’s achieved, especially her work for equality and creating jobs for women.”
