“Kate’s got so much she wants to accomplish this coming year, and now that she’s feeling better, she’s throwing herself back into life,” a source tells Star. “She’s the type of person that feels happiest when she feels useful, so even when she’s home resting, she’s usually working on something.”
However, the insider claims the mother of three, 44 — who shares Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, with husband Prince William — is not “pretending she’s invincible, she’s very aware there are limits, and she respects that and is disciplined about sticking to her doctors’ orders.”

The source notes that the Princess of Wales is “extremely devoted to her foundation” and “wants to implement programs that really have an impact on British children in need.”
“Her big focus is on early childhood development, as a mother, it’s something that’s very dear to [her] heart,” explains the source. “She’s doing a lot of groundwork behind the scenes, lots of readings, lots of meetings with experts so that she can make decisions from an informed place.”
Additionally, the insider reveals that Kate — who sees her children as her “number one priority” — is helping William, 43, and King Charles III.

“She’s working with William, supporting him every step of the way as he prepares for the throne, and in the interim, she’s helping Charles out with anything that’s needed as well, which can mean reading the minutes from meetings to weigh in on an issue to popping over with baked goods to cheer him up,” the insider adds.
As Star previously reported, Kate announced in March 2024 that she was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer. The royal family member shared an update in a January 2025 social media post, revealing that she was in remission.
