Prince William ‘Sickened’ By Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Plans to Profit Off Princess Diana (Exclusive)

Prince Harry is at odds with Prince William once again.

This time, Star has learned, the estranged brothers are butting heads over the legacy of their late mother Princess Diana.

“Harry is determined to honor his mother and share her story with the next generation,” says an insider, adding that the Duke of Sussex, 41, doesn’t see any reason to involve his older brother in it. “Harry’s got his deal at Netflix, so when he’s ready to pitch this project, he’ll go straight there, which is bound to set William off even more, since he’s still angry they aired The Crown.”

What’s really upsetting the future king, 43, though is how involved Meghan Markle is, the insider notes.

According to gossip columnist Rob Shuter, sources say she and Harry are developing a feature film about the Princess of Wales, who tragically died at age 36 in a Paris car wreck in 1997 — and the former Suits star, 44, wants to direct.

“William doesn’t want her anywhere near his mother’s story, but of course that doesn’t matter one bit to Harry,” spills the insider. “He is absolutely sickened that Harry, and by extension Meghan, will be profiting off Diana. To him, it’s nothing more than a shameless money grab and he’s vowing to do whatever it takes to stop them.”

However, “Harry’s not asking anyone’s permission anymore, especially not William’s,” the insider dishes. “In his eyes, the monarchy failed Diana so they ought to be the last ones in charge of honoring her.”

Of her 1995 Panorama interview, in which Diana revealed the royal family deemed her “unstable” and a “problem,” Harry proclaimed in his 2022 Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan: “I think we all now know she was deceived into giving the interview, but at the same time, she spoke the truth of her experience.”

“Harry genuinely believes Diana’s story has been mismanaged for years,” says the insider, “and that it’s his responsibility to make sure it’s finally shared properly.”
