After Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni settled their It Ends With Us legal drama, a judge denied Lively’s request to pursue treble damages and punitive damages.
However, the It Ends With Us actor and director, 42, has been ordered to pay attorneys’ fees and litigation costs related to his counterclaim, according to People.
Esra Hudson and Michael Gottlieb — attorneys representing Lively, 38 — said in a statement to the publication, in part, “Today’s ruling makes it clear that Ms. Lively brought her claims in good faith, that there was no evidence she acted with malice, and that she is the prevailing defendant under Section 47.1.”
TMZ reported that it’s unclear how much money Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, will have to pay.

The decision follows a June 1 hearing during which Lively’s lawyers argued that her costar should cover her legal bills after his defamation lawsuit against her was thrown out.
As previously reported, Lively — who worked closely alongside the director and star of the troubled 2024 film — claimed that Baldoni inappropriately improvised on the set of It Ends With Us, making her feel uncomfortable.
The actress sued Baldoni and others, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation, claims that he has denied. Baldoni filed a countersuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and their publicist for extortion and defamation, but it was dismissed by a judge.
