Hank Azaria took a shot at Taylor Swift after she got courtside tickets to cheer on the New York Knicks in Game 4 against the San Antonio Spurs.
The Simpsons voice actor, 62, appeared on the Thursday, June 6 episode of The Dan Le Batard Show, where he discussed attending the big game — which saw the Knicks have an historic comeback to defeat the Spurs for the third time in this NBA Finals — and the process by which celebrities earn tickets to games at Madison Square Garden when he sounded off on Swift, 36.
“I tell you the one that bothered me was Taylor Swift,” he began. “Yeah, I know she’s the hugest thing in the world, but we had to sit with her all through the NFL and now she’s at the Garden. Come on.”
Azaria was referencing Swift’s regular attendance at Kansas City Chiefs games to cheer on her fiancé, Travis Kelce. Cameras regularly turn to the “I Knew It, I Knew You” singer at NFL games as there continues to be immense public interest in their relationship.
“Not that I question why she’d get the seat. I’m just tired of the whole Taylor sports [stuff],” The Simpsons actor concluded.

It’s possible he was a little salty at Swift, who got three guest seats courtside for friends, because he had his own seat mishap at the game. Azaria explained to the hosts that he has been cheering on the Knicks in person since the 1970s and sometimes gets celebrity comp tickets. However, he wasn’t sure if he’d get them for something as big as Game 4 of the NBA Finals, so he purchased tickets just in case.
When he ended up getting comped tickets, he gave away the two he bought to friends, assuming the ones he received would be better. Sadly, they were far worse than the ones he purchased and gave away.
“My friends now are sitting in great seats now that I bought and I can’t switch with them,” he said with a laugh.
