Jennifer Aniston is proving that her friendship with Courteney Cox is as strong as ever.

Aniston, 57, took to Instagram to praise her Friends costar’s latest career update, which sees Cox, 62, serving as a director and producer on Evil Genius — an upcoming crime thriller starring Cox’s former sister-in-law Patricia Arquette, based on the Netflix docuseries of the same name.

After Cox revealed that her new film had been selected for the Toronto International Film Festival lineup, Aniston re-shared the announcement on her July 21 Instagram Story, writing, “My girl!” alongside a series of red heart emojis.

“So proud of you!!” the Morning Show star continued in the comments section of the post, which Cox captioned, “When you really believe in something… don’t ever give up. Dreams can come true.”

Aniston and Cox’s friendship spans three decades, with the pair first meeting on the set of Friends in 1994, where they starred as Rachel Green and Monica Geller, respectively. The show ran for 10 seasons and also starred Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and the late Matthew Perry.

The pair have remained in each other’s lives ever since, with Aniston by Cox’s side for her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in 2023, where she gushed over being “family with Courteney,” and even serving as godmother to Cox and ex-husband David Arquette‘s 22-year-old daughter, Coco.

Speaking to People in 2025 about their friendship, Aniston revealed that she and the Scream star share a very specific love language that may surprise fans.

“We usually talk interior design,” Aniston told the outlet. “It kind of bores people to tears when we get into a room together. But it’s what we love. It’s our love language.”

“What haven’t I learned from Courtney?” the LolaVie founder added.

Cox has also been open about her bond with Aniston. In a birthday tribute that same year, she shared a throwback pic of the pair on Instagram, alongside a sweet message for her longtime friend, writing, “Happy birthday to my friend for life. Never has there been a more generous, loving, beautiful, talented, funny, loyal friend. I feel so lucky to be growing up with you.”
