There were rumors that the pair were at odds while filming season 34 of the dance competition series, with fans calling out Leavitt, 33, for looking happy after her Secret Lives of Mormon Wives costar, 27, got sent home. However, the Chicago the Musical star has long denied being anything other than relieved that she wasn’t the one who got the boot – until now.
The pair sat down on season 5 of the series, released on Hulu this week, where they attempted to hash things out, with Leavitt doubling down that her apparent laughter wasn’t anything more than a sigh of relief at the idea of getting to dance another week on the show.
But, in a confessional, she admitted that a small part of her was “happy” it was Affleck who was sent home.
“Let’s set the record straight, I, genuinely, to God, I don’t remember being like, ‘hee hee, ha ha, you’re going home,'” Leavitt said. “That was not the intention. Of course I’m happy that my name isn’t called because I want to stay. I would have been relieved if it was anyone… but I was a little happy it was Jen.”

Leavitt was ultimately sent home during the semifinals in season 10, three weeks after Affleck was eliminated from the show. And while Affleck hasn’t addressed the confessional moment publicly, she did share a statement on Instagram about the season, amid the show’s premiere Thursday, September 10.
“Still learning. Still growing. Still figuring it all out for the first time. 🤍 I have so much left to learn, and putting your dreams, insecurities, mistakes, and growing pains out there for the world to see can be scary,” the soon-to-be mother of four wrote alongside a clip of her dancing. ” But I’m grateful for every version of me that’s gotten me here. 🤍.”
The ongoing drama between the pair comes amid MomTok’s European vacation, with the group seemingly filming again — sans Leavitt, who announced her departure from the series after the now-airing season 5.
In addition to returning to Broadway as Sandra Dee in Just In Time this December, Leavitt will be back in the ballroom, as her husband Conner joins DWTS season 35, premiering September 15, to put his dance moves to the test as another Leavitt tries their hand at taking home a Mirror Ball Trophy.
