Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Struggle to Find Time for ‘Romance’ Amid ‘Crazy Stressful’ U.K. Move

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s tumultuous return to the U.K. has left them with little to zero time for romance, a source tells Star.

“Meghan was fully prepared to buckle down,” says the source. “She knew there would be a lot to get done, but there was also supposed to be some time set aside in the schedule for her and Harry to focus on their relationship.”

Before moving back to England with their two children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex both agreed that “they would have at least one date a week,” the source reveals.

“It’s meant as a safeguard, to make sure they don’t drift too far apart from each other and risk their marriage in this crazy stressful move,” explains the source. “But much to Meghan’s frustration, it has not been happening, not at all. Harry has had one thing after another added to his plate, and everything’s had to get pushed around.”

Harry, 42, made his first public appearance at the inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards in London on Thursday, September 17, and is set to attend the WellChild Awards on Monday, September 21, before hopping across the pond for the Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting in New York City on Tuesday, September 22, and Wednesday, September 23.

“It would be one thing if there was an end in sight, but there’s more stuff popping up all the time that he needs to deal with,” says the source, adding that it puts Meghan, 45, “in the position of having to demand that [dates] be made a priority, which obviously doesn’t feel great and certainly doesn’t lend itself to romance.”
