Two years after his final child support check from Britney Spears, Kevin Federline is being sued by City National Bank for more than $117,000.
The former backup dancer, 48, allegedly signed a contract with the bank in late November 2024 for a credit card, a line of credit, and an overdraft line, Page Six reported Thursday, October 29. Just weeks earlier, Spears, 44, had sent Kevin the last payment for their sons, Sean Preston, 21, and Jayden James, 20.
Per the lawsuit, the overdraft line came due in April 2025, and the line of credit followed two months later. The bank claims it allowed him until August 2026 to pay off the credit card balance. Kevin has not publicly addressed the suit.
City National Bank is also seeking interest on all three accounts: 18 percent on the overdraft line, 7.5 percent on the line of credit, and a hefty 20.5 percent on the credit card.

Spears and Kevin met at a club in 2004 and wed by September of that year. Kevin has described it as love at first sight. “Our eyes met and that was it,” he told People in 2008. “We just hit it off right away.”
The marriage lasted less than three years. In 2008, amid the pop star’s mental health struggles and hospitalization, Kevin was awarded full legal and physical custody of Sean and Jayden.
Over the next 17 years, Spears paid as much as $40,000 in monthly child support, a figure that dropped to $20,000 after Sean turned 18. In his memoir, Kevin claimed the money didn’t stretch as far as the public assumed.
“People hear figures like that and think you’re financially set. But the reality is far from that,” he wrote, per People. He added that providing the “security and stability” his sons needed “came with a price tag that would make anyone’s head spin.”
