Rachel Reilly, a former Big Brother winner who returned to compete this season against fellow houseguest Mickey Lee, is “heartbroken” over the death of her competitor.
Lee’s death at age 35 on Christmas Day was announced on Friday, December 26, by her friends and family.
“We are beyond saddened by the news,” Reilly, 41, wrote in a statement posted to her Instagram Story. “Mickey: Thank you for bringing your light to the world. You will be missed. This doesn’t feel real. Heartbroken that you’re gone. You’ll always have a place in my heart.”

Reilly was also among the first to send her love to Lee’s family on the star’s Instagram page, writing in a comment, “Sorry for your loss and my prayers for your family RIP MICKEY you are missed – love to all of you 🙏.”
As Star reported, the Season 27 houseguest’s death comes after Lee suffered a series of cardiac arrests earlier this week.
“With profound sadness, the family of Mickey Lee announces her transition on Christmas in the early evening,” a statement signed by the “family and friends of Mickey C Lee” posted to her official Instagram page read.

“Mickey captured the hearts of audiences nationwide through her appearance on Big Brother, where her authenticity, strength, and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike. She will be remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of so many and for the genuine connections she formed both on and off screen,” the statement continued.
The family thanked people who have offered prayers, love and support — and requested privacy as they grieve. Details for a memorial service, they said, would be announced at a later date.
“Mickey’s light, legacy, and impact will never be forgotten,” the statement concluded.

A GoFundMe was set up on December 22.
Described on the GoFundMe campaign as “a vibrant, strategic and unforgettable personality,” Lee became one of the most divisive contestants of this summer’s season of Big Brother before her elimination on day 59.
Ashley Hollis, an attorney from New York City, ultimately placed first in the competition.
