Brooklyn Beckham Leaves Fans Grossed Out With Unusual Pasta Cooking Method
Brooklyn Beckham‘s culinary skills have divided opinion on social media, but his latest effort left some fans horrified.
The 27-year-old aspiring chef and son of David Beckham, 50, and Victoria Beckham, 51, took to TikTok on August 6, to whip up a tomato pasta recipe.
But he confused some social media users by using seawater to cook his pasta.
He began the clip by saying: “Today, I’m going to make some tomato pasta.”
Brooklyn – who is currently estranged from his family – was then seen standing on a jetty, before announcing, “Of course we get some pasta water.”
He then proceeded to dunk his saucepan in the seawater, before placing the pan down in a kitchen.
However, the move left some of his followers stunned.
“Gross,” one user wrote in the comments section. “Takes sea water from the engine where oil and chemicals leak thru. Boiling seawater doesn’t kill chemical pollutants, heavy metals, and all toxins.”
Another added, “Pasta water with a hint of burnt boat fuel please sir.”
Others believe his seawater move was part of an online manipulation tactic.
“He just rage bating at this point,” a third person chimed in and said while a fourth wrote, “There’s no way this is serious.”
Not everyone was bashing Brooklyn, though.
A supporter posted, “Why does everyone just hate on him in the comments, it’s actually so sad. Hope you all find peace one day.”
“He gets so much hate for no reason,” another commented. “Keep being you Brooklyn, haters gonna hate.”
Brooklyn captioned the clip, “Tomato pasta,” with a heart emoji. His latest effort is in sharp contrast to one of his baking creations in February, which fans seemed to universally love.
As reported by Star, he dropped a casual new photo dump via Instagram on February 12, giving followers a peek inside his low-key day at home – including mirror selfies, adorable pups, and some seriously photogenic loaves of sourdough.
Brooklyn attracted plenty of praise for the bread. One follower wrote, “That last pic though,” while another added, “That sourdough looks incredible.”
