Tears were shed when Savannah Chrisley reunited with her dad, Todd Chrisley, after his time behind bars.
On Sunday, June 15 — in honor of Father’s Day — Savannah, 27, posted a video on social media showing her picking Todd, 56, up from Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida last month. The footage captured the emotional reunion between the father and daughter.
In the video, the Chrisley Knows Best star is seen walking out of prison wearing a grey t-shirt, sweatpants, and black sneakers, holding a folder. Savannah, dressed in a pink “Make America Great Again” hat and jacket, runs up to her dad, and the two share an emotional hug that brings Todd to tears.
“Father’s Day looks a little different these days 🥹😭 I sure do love you daddy!! God is good!! @toddchrisley,” Savannah captioned her post, which she set to the song “Goodness of God” by CeCe Winans.
Back in May, Savannah shared some more lighthearted moments on social media from her reunion with the reality star, including an Instagram Story where she joked that Todd was “jacked.” She also shared a selfie with him on a shopping trip, as well as a hilarious video of him putting a bag over his head to hide from the paparazzi.
Meanwhile, Savannah’s brother, Chase Chrisley, picked up their mom, Julie Chrisley, from Kentucky’s Federal Medical Center Lexington the same day.
Savannah detailed her family reunion on the Tuesday, June 3, episode of her Unlocked podcast, telling listeners, “I cooked dinner for my entire family. I made steaks, pastas, salads, potatoes — we had a smorgasbord. My parents enjoyed it and loved it.”
President Donald Trump granted Todd and Julie, 52, full pardons on May 27. The husband-and-wife duo were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in 2022. Todd was serving a 12-year sentence, while Julie was serving a seven-year sentence.
Prior to her parent’s release, Savannah and her siblings had wrapped production on their upcoming Lifetime reality show, which was set to focus on their efforts to free Julie and Todd from prison. Now that they’re back home, Savannah confirmed they’ve started filming again.
“I’m so excited… they’re going to be part of it, and we get our new start at life,” Savannah remarked on the same podcast episode.
A source told Star earlier this month that the family could use money from reality TV. “Even if they don’t have to pay the rest of the $17 million in restitution, Todd and Julie are drowning in debts and bills,” the insider revealed.
