Todd Chrisley is powering his devices back on and making his big return to Instagram following his release from federal prison.
On Thursday, June 12, the Chrisley Knows Best star, 56, shared his first post on the app in almost three years, announcing that his son Grayson Chrisley made the 2025 Spring Dean’s list at the University of Alabama.
“God is good all the time, @graysonchrisley, I love you to the moon and back and we couldn’t be more proud,” the reality TV personality captioned the post. “You have shown great character and fortitude and stood with your lord and savior amidst the fire and came out the other side never smelling of smoke, you are proof of God’s word.”
“Stand tall, Stand true and stand for your fellow brothers in Christ. I love you Gray Gray,” Todd concluded.
In January, Grayson, 19, started school in Tuscaloosa with his sister, Savannah Chrisley, 27, helping him move in. According to the University’s website, students must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours to be eligible for the Dean’s List.
While this marked Todd’s return to his own social media accounts, he appeared on Savannah’s Instagram last month. Savannah posted a selfie with her dad on a shopping trip, as well as a hilarious video of him putting a bag over his head to hide from the paparazzi.
“So we went to Nordstrom. We thought we were in the clear, but nope, the press followed us into Nordstrom and chased us around,” Savannah recalled on an episode of her Unlocked podcast earlier this month. “It was comical. That’s why I put that photo of me and Dad out there, because I was like,’ I’m not going to let them get the first picture’. No, not happening.”
Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, were both granted full pardons by President Donald Trump on May 27. The husband-and-wife duo were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in 2022. Todd was serving a 12-year sentence at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida, while Julie was serving seven years at Kentucky’s Federal Medical Center Lexington.
Grayson chimed in during the phone call when President Trump relayed the pardon news to Savannah.
“Mr. President, I just want to say thank you for bringing my parents back,” he said. “I go to the University of Alabama, and I saw you speak, and I said, ‘That’s the greatest presidential speech I’ve ever heard in my life.'”
In May, President Trump gave a special commencement address to the school.
Prior to Todd and Julie’s release, Savannah and her siblings had wrapped production on their upcoming Lifetime reality show, which was set to focus on their efforts to free the couple from prison. Now that they’re back home, cameras have started rolling again.
“They’re going to be part of it, and we get our new start at life,” Savannah confirmed on her podcast earlier this month. “I’m so excited.”
