Kim Kardashian got some scary news during the season 17 premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The reality star had been in the middle of an ongoing health crisis and was experiencing some very painful symptoms, including swollen joints, headaches and intense fatigue. She even felt like her hands went numb while playing with son Saint, 3. The 38-year-old finally got some answers about what might be ailing her after undergoing a blood test. Dr. Daniel Wallace called her with the results.
“Your antibodies are positive for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis,” the doctor said. He described the illnesses’ side effects, which include joint pain and exhaustion. At the same time, Wallace was clear that this doesn’t necessarily mean Kim has either disease. “Sometimes you can get false positives in these screenings,” he explained.
The KKW Beauty founder scheduled a follow-up appointment and got stuck playing the waiting game again. Thankfully, sisters Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner were on hand to offer some comfort amid Kim’s panic.
