Baby Archie made his royal tour debut on September 25, smiling for some adorable photos! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry brought him to meet Archbishop Desmond Tutu during the third day of their tour of Africa. It was Archie’s first official event since the days after his May 6 birth.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex dressed the littlest royal in white and blue striped overalls with a white, long-sleeve shirt. He was very happy and giggly, cooing at the 87-year-old archbishop.
Archie also matched Meghan, 38, who wore a floaty blue and white sundress. Dad Harry, 35, coordinated with his wife and son in a navy suit with a blue tie.
The family of three met the bishop and his daughter Thandeka Tutu-Gxashe at his foundation in Cape Town, South Africa. The organization works on developing youth leadership and facilitates discussions about social justice. Long term, they hope to spread the archbishop’s teachings to new generations. Harry previously met the archbishop in 2015.

Diana started the tradition of taking babies on tour when she brought
Prince William on a tour of New Zealand and Australia when he was just a year old. Archie’s cousins
Prince George and
Princess Charlotte both joined their parents on the road when they were still babies, though they were both a few months older than Archie is now.
