Katy Perry Calls Justin Trudeau the ‘Love of My Life’ After ‘Hardest’ Orlando Bloom Split

Katy Perry has been looking back on a difficult year while celebrating the unexpected romance she now believes could last a lifetime.

The singer, 41, opened up about the emotional roller coaster that followed her split from Orlando Bloom and the surprising relationship that followed with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

“It was probably the hardest time,” Perry told People, recalling the period after she and Bloom confirmed their nearly decade-long relationship had ended in June 2025.

“My friends were all hanging out back home. I was crying and just feeling far away. But then my angels went to work. They really showed up.”

Perry and Bloom, who share 6-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, had been together on and off for nearly a decade before calling it quits. At the time, Perry was just a few months into her 91-show tour.

But her “angels” may have led her straight to Trudeau, 54, who she met just months after the split.

Perry was first romantically linked to the former prime minister after the pair were spotted together in July 2025.

After Trudeau attended one of her shows, the couple eventually went public with their romance during an outing in Paris for Perry’s 41st birthday that October.

Perry now says meeting Trudeau was the biggest surprise to come out of the tour.

“I got the greatest gift from this tour: I got to meet the love of my life,” she said.

Perry has previously spoken about how difficult 2025 was for her.

During the premiere of her concert film at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2026, she described it as “one of the hardest years of my life,” adding that some days were “really, really, really hard,” according to a report from Entertainment Weekly.
