Emma Roberts and Cody John might not be in any rush to get married, but her famous aunt Julia Roberts is urging them to hurry up and make things official already, a source tells Star.
The Oscar-winning actress, 58, has even offered up her New Mexico ranch to the Scream Queens star, 35, and her fiance, 34, as a prospective wedding venue, reveals the source.
Julia purchased the 32-acre property from former secretary of defense Donald Rumsfeld in the 1990s, according to Architectural Digest, and it’s long served as her family’s home away from home.
“Julia’s ranch in New Mexico is the ideal wedding venue because it is so secluded and [she] and Danny have designed it to be the perfect retreat for them, their kids and their extended family,” says the source. “Of course Julia wants Emma and Cody to have their special day there.”
When Cody and Emma first got together in 2022, “it seemed like a rebound relationship,” Star‘s source admits, especially for the American Horror Story actress.
It had only been a few months since news broke that Emma’s rocky three-year romance with ex-boyfriend Garrett Hedlund, father of her five-year-old son Rhodes, had come to an end.
However, “they’ve really taken their time as a couple,” says the source, adding that Emma and Cody have “taken the same approach” with their two-year engagement too. “They’ve refused to rush into any big decisions, even about where they want to have their wedding.”
