Sources tell Star that the 57-year-old actress is closer than ever to writing a memoir as publishers beat down her door with money-spinning offers she’s finding hard to refuse.
“The big publishing houses have been after Jen for a book for years, and the offers are only getting bigger,” reveals a source. “Jen came close to writing her life story during the pandemic … but she put those efforts aside when she went back to work full time.”
Currently, Aniston is filming the fifth season of The Morning Show with close pal and costar Reese Witherspoon, the source notes, “but once that’s complete, she’ll have a window of time where finally writing a book might be the best and most lucrative way to spend her time.”
“She is one of the few stars of her generation who actually has an incredible life story to tell,” says Star‘s source, from her meteoric rise to fame on Friends to her marriage and headline-making divorce from Brad Pitt.
“Even the story of how she and Reese put together The Morning Show is full of twists and turns,” admits the source. “It all adds up to a saga of epic proportions and Jen knows it.”
If Aniston is going to write a memoir, she wants to do it right.
“She has always been of two minds about writing a book, maybe because she is such an avid reader herself,” says Star‘s source. “She would want to write it entirely on her own and not use a ghostwriter, and she would want it to be great.”
The Friends alum “sets a high bar for herself with every project she takes on,” the source explains, “and an autobiography is no exception to that rule.”
That being said, “Jen is ready to take that step,” dishes the source, “for the right price of course.”
