Denise Richards is seemingly breathing a sigh of relief.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted the Drop Dead Gorgeous star’s request for a permanent restraining order against estranged husband Aaron Phypers on Friday, November 7.
As first reported by US Weekly, the legal mandate — which was awarded following allegations of physical and emotional abuse — instructs Phypers to remain 100 yards away from Richards, 54, and her work.
It also prohibits the 53-year-old from owning a firearm or having any contact with his former spouse.
However, while the court document is called a permanent restraining order, it will actually last five years, expiring on November 7, 2030.
Richards first won a temporary restraining order on July 16, and then testified about the horrors she allegedly endured during an October hearing, claiming: “He’s almost killed me so many damn times.”
Prior to his filing to end their six-year marriage on July 7, Richards alleged the holistic healer would “violently choke” and “slap” her, according to People. He’s been accused of giving his wife three concussions and threatening to throw her off balconies and through windows, as well.

The Denise Richards & Her Wild Things star got support from a surprising source — Phypers’ cousin, Kathleen McAllister — amid her messy divorce.
At the hearing last month, she claimed to have witnessed her relative attack Richards.
“I saw Aaron hit Denise and immediately she had a really bad black eye,” alleged McAllister. “I’m literally in shock now to this day about it.”

Despite the judge’s ruling, Phypers denies the accusations.
“Money can buy justice,” a source close to Phypers tells Star. “Aaron had been locked out of all his money, personal and business documents necessary to hire a team and put forth a decent defense against Richards’ million-dollar legal assault of false accusations, plain and simple.”
