Amanda Batula’s Hairstylist Embraces Backlash Over Her ‘Summer House’ Reunion Bun Hairstyle

Amanda Batula knew she was heading into the lion’s den at the Summer House Season 10 reunion because of her relationship with West Wilson, but she likely didn’t know her hairstyle would also cause an uproar.

At the reunion, Batula, 33, wore a form fitting yellow gown that featured a slit that allowed her to show off some leg. She paired the look with sparkly silver jewelry, which only added to the glamour, but she wore a surprisingly simple hairstyle that didn’t go over well with fans.

The Bravolebrity had hair slicked back away from her face in what looked like a small bun, but the ends of her hair fell loose at the bottom – almost as if the original idea had been a ponytail, but the hairstylist stopped halfway when pulling the hair through.

Batula’s hairstylist, Olivia Halpin, decided to embrace the controversy and posted a side profile shot of her at the reunion, captioning the pic on Instagram, “the bun you love to hate.”

It didn’t take long for social media users to chime in with even more thoughts about the look.

“I don’t know that I’d take credit for it….” one person wrote.

Another added, “you could not have waterboarded this information out of me.”

A third person chimed in and commented, “I feel like this was your subtle way of saying you’re #teamciara,” referencing Batula and costar Ciara Miller‘s massive fallout over Wilson, 31.

Miller, 30, had previously dated Wilson when he joined the cast in season 8, while Batula was married to fellow Summer House star Kyle Cooke for four years before announcing their split in January.

After weeks of rumors, the Missouri native and Batula confirmed that they were in a relationship, and much of the reunion so far has forced the couple to answer for their decisions.

Fans still have one more episode to go, but they don’t have long to wait: The final part of the reunion hits Bravo next week on June 10.
