While Britney Spears is working on herself in rehab after her recent DUI arrest, her two sons have reportedly taken up space at her mansion in California.
According to a Friday, April 24, report in journalist Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19 — whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline — “didn’t ease in” to her home, said a source. “They moved straight into the mansion like it was already theirs.”
The pop star’s rep confirmed earlier this month that the 44-year-old entered a treatment facility five weeks after she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol (DUI) in Ventura, California, on March 4.
Meanwhile, according to Shuter’s source, Sean and Jayden are “living rent-free in a massive estate, driving her expensive cars, coming and going as they please, enjoying every perk that comes with being Britney Spears’ sons — it’s not exactly subtle.”
“While their mom is away getting help and trying to reset her life, it looks like someone else is living very comfortably under her roof — and people are noticing,” a source said.
The “Circus” singer’s family — including Sean, Jayden and their father, 48 — are said to be supportive of her decision to seek treatment.

And while they may just be “trying to hold things together” by allegedly living at her home, a source told Shuter, “that’s not how it’s being perceived right now.”
“She’s away trying to get better,” the source pointed out, “and at home, it feels like the story has already moved on without her.”
Following the Grammy Award winner’s arrest last month, she was reportedly released from jail around 6 a.m. on March 5 and transported to the hospital that same morning to have her blood drawn after being pulled over. It was widely reported that Spears was believed to be under the influence of a “combination of drugs and alcohol” at the time.
“Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law, and hopefully this can be the first step in a long-overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life,” her rep told Star at the time. “Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.”
