More than a month after moving back to his native U.K. with wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, “Harry is running from one gig to the next,” spills the source. “At the same time, he’s working all his contacts to find other opportunities, and not just for himself — he wants to open doors for Meghan too. He promised her he would.”
As Star previously reported, the Spare author, 42, even networked for his spouse during the WellChild Awards in London on Monday, September 21, agreeing to pitch Markle, 45, on hosting her own show on Magic Radio.
“Getting them all to England was just the first battle. Now, Harry has to prove that it was the right decision, which means a whole lot of hard work,” adds the source. “He was adamant that this move would allow them to bring in more money.”
“Harry has the constant headache of trying to navigate the situation with his family, and it has been even harder than he anticipated,” shares the source. “As a result, he and Meghan are spending a lot more time apart than either of them would like. She’s focused on the kids and her As Ever brand — and truth be told, she’s not interested in following him around like some Stepford wife.”
Her view is to “divide and conquer,” explains the source — though Harry’s sometimes been left feeling the division isn’t quite equal.
“It does mean a whole lot more pressure on his shoulders and absolutely zero time to himself,” dishes the source. “The moment he’s free from work he’s got to rush home to give Meghan a break from parenting duties.”
