Amy Schumer Shares Proud ‘Single Mom’ Moment At Son’s 7th Birthday Party
Amy Schumer is stepping into a brand new chapter of her life, marking one of her first major family milestones since her split from Chris Fischer.
“This women just threw her first bday party as a single mom,” the comedian wrote on an Instagram Story on Sunday, May 3, before documenting the day’s activities at New York City’s Central Park Zoo to celebrate son Gene, 7.
The Kinda Pregnant actress, 44, was joined by her own mom Sandra Schumer as well as a host of other family and friends.
In one photo, Amy posed arm-in-arm with guests. “When your friends are family,” she wrote on the shot.
As per a May 4 People report, Gene was also treated to a cake featuring a ninja towering triumphantly over a city skyline.
Schumer and Fischer announced their split in December 2025.
“Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years,” Schumer wrote on Instagram. “We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time.”
In January, Star reported that she filed for divorce.
