Amy Schumer doesn’t want people to read into her recently renewed social media presence amid her divorce and weight loss.
The 44-year-old comedian — who filed for divorce from Chris Fischer in January — took to Instagram on Tuesday, February 3, to share a series of photos of herself from a recent photo shoot.
After shouting out the photographer and fashion behind the snaps, Schumer got personal and seemingly hit back at some of her critics. “Pics of yourself when you’re finally feeling strong and beautiful are not a cry for help,” she wrote in part. “They are a celebration of life and health.”
“Love to the single moms out there,” the mom of one — who shares son Gene, 6, with Fischer — added.
As Starpreviously reported, a source told the Daily Mail in January that Schumer is “obviously craving attention” by posting “Instagram rants and bathing suit pics” as she adjusted to her “new body, new life and fresh divorce.”

Indeed, Schumer has been posting a lot more on social media in recent weeks after revealing in December 2025 that she had lost 50lbs.
“Not to look hot which does feel fun and temporary,” she wrote in an Instagram Reel at the time, per People. “I did it to survive.”
“I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you, but the internet caught it, and the disease has cleared,” she added, likely referring to her Cushing syndrome diagnosis. Schumer has also been open about her battle with endometriosis.
According to People, the Trainwreck star revealed in a since-deleted video in January 2025, per People, that she’s undergone plastic surgery over the years and uses the weight-loss drug Mounjaro, which helped her with her wellness journey.
