Amy Schumer’s Inside Circle Reportedly Believes Her Social Media Activity Proves She’s ‘Craving Attention’

Amy Schumer’s friends are raising alarms over the comedian’s increasingly revealing social media posts, with insiders telling the Daily Mail they believe the newly slim 44-year-old is looking for “attention” as she navigates her divorce from chef Chris Fischer.

Schumer has spent recent weeks sharing a steady stream of bikini photos — many seemingly snapped inside her Manhattan apartment — to her Instagram. But the Life & Beth star has since quietly deleted several of those sexier images, despite captioning one post that 2026 is all about “self-care and self-love.”

“With the Instagram rants and bathing suit pics, she is obviously craving attention,” one insider told the Daily Mail, adding that Schumer — who revealed in December that she had lost 50lbs — is still adjusting to her “new body, new life and fresh divorce.”

“She is trying to deal with the divorce and her new look – but she doesn’t really know what she is doing,” the insider added, per the outlet. “It is all still new. Her new body, her new life and her fresh divorce. It’s [a] lot all at once.”

The insider also insisted her inner circle isn’t worried she’s “unwinding,” but they are “monitoring her behavior.” Meanwhile, Fischer — who’s “more heartbroken” over the split — is keeping a low profile since the Trainwreck star filed for divorce on January 6.

A second insider told the outlet that the duo, who married in 2018 and share 6-year-old son Gene, “are trying to figure out how to move forward while living apart but co-parenting their child and just making this as graceful as possible.”
