Nicole has decamped to London to star in a West End play and is determined to become “best buddies” with her 22-year-old adopted daughter, who has been in England for three years studying hair and makeup.
“They spent a couple of hours together and put several dates on the schedule,” dishes an insider.
For years, relationships between the two were strained in the wake of Nicole’s 2001 divorce from Tom Cruise, and things only got worse after Nicole “replaced” Bella and her brother Connor, 20, with Sunday, 7, and Faith 4, her two biological daughters with Keith Urban.
But even after the pair buried the hatchet in recent years, Nicole’s jet-set schedule and Isabella’s low-key lifestyle made spending time together difficult. Now, says a Nicole insider, her eldest daughter is her top priority.
“She’s excited to really spend quality time with Bella while she’s in London,” says the source. “They have plans to see each other every few days—Nicole is so excited.”
