Taylor Frankie Paul Reportedly Temporarily Loses Custody of 2-Year-old Son to Ex Dakota Mortensen

Taylor Frankie Paul was just handed another blow amid the ongoing fallout from her domestic dispute with ex Dakota Mortensen.

The reality star, 31, has temporarily lost custody of her 2-year-old son, Ever, to Mortensen, 33. The news comes just days after reports surfaced that Paul allegedly choked Mortensen with his own necklace.

Mortensen filed for a protective order on Thursday, March 19, according to People. The order was granted the following day and per the terms, Mortensen will maintain “temporary custody” of Ever until at least April 7.

“No parent time is allowed until the scheduled hearing,” the order states, per People.

This marks the second time the Hulu star has lost custody of her children. In 2023, Paul reportedly signed over custody of her two eldest children to their father, her ex-husband Tate Paul.

According to TMZ, Tate’s lawyer demanded full custody of the former couple’s children, Indy, 7, and Ocean, 5, after the reality star’s arrest in February 2023.

“Her lawyer agreed to change custody from joint to full custody,” the outlet reported on Friday, March 20, adding that Taylor, 31, agreed to attend alcohol education courses and “undergo various exams.”

The fired Bachelorette star regained 50 percent custody of the children over the course of six months, TMZ explained.

The latest development in the ongoing saga comes one day after a video recorded by Mortensen, 33, during the physical altercation was released. In the footage, which was obtained by TMZ on Thursday, March 19, the Hulu star can be seen throwing metal barstools at her then-boyfriend, one of which seemingly struck Indy.

Taylor allegedly denied that her daughter was struck, and Tate was not allowed to view the video, the outlet revealed.

Tate — who has since remarried and welcomed two more children with wife Bailey Paul — was “outraged” by the fight video after TMZ released it publicly, the outlet reported.
