Ruby Rose Makes Disturbing Claims Against Katy Perry, Singer’s Rep Fires Back at ‘Reckless Lies’

Katy Perry is being investigated by Australian authorities after Ruby Rose came forward with some disturbing claims. In a series of Threads posts on April 12, via People, the Orange Is the New Black alum alleged that in 2010 the “I Kissed a Girl” singer sexually assaulted her at Spice Market nightclub in Melbourne while she was resting her head on a friend’s lap.

The 40-year-old alleges that the mom of one “pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her,” according to the magazine. A rep for Katy, 41, called the claims “categorically false” and “dangerous, reckless lies,” pointing out that the actress has made other public allegations that were repeatedly denied. (In 2021, she accused the Batwoman set of being a “toxic” work environment, for example.)

While Ruby, who had a Twitter feud with Katy in 2017 over her song “Swish Swish,” initially said she did not want to file a report about the alleged assault, the Melbourne Sexual Offenses and Child Abuse Investigation team soon got involved. The actress then doubled down, saying Katy is “more than welcome to sue me (she won’t, because it happened, I have photos and it was literally in public and witnessed by multiple people).”
