Too Much Too Soon? Tatum O'Neal Flaunts New Love With Rosie Just Weeks After O'Donnell's Ex Attempted Suicide!

From the sounds of it, the new duo is enjoying each other's company, especially after Rosie's dramatic divorce surfaced in February earlier this year. "She spends all her time with Tatum," a source close to Rosie tells Star.

But Star readers know the extremely outspoken comedian didn't unveil her new flame right off the bat. "They've known each other for awhile but the secrecy of their dating made it more exciting," says a source close to the pair.

But not so exciting for Michelle. In fact, there's good reason Rosie tried to keep her secret romance hush-hush for as long as possible.

Rosie and Michelle are embroiled in an ugly battle as they vie for sole custody of their 2-year-old daughter, Dakota. Rosie worried that going public with Tatum would give Michelle more fuel to win custody.

But a source revealed that "Michelle has been battling serious depression, and these past few months have been brutal on her."

And on Sept. 22, Michelle went over the edge with wine and painkillers in a Nanuet, N.Y. hotel room and then reportedly reached out to Rosie in tears to tell her what she'd done. Police were called, and Michelle was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors were able to save her life.

Rosie has been making Michelle's life "a nightmare," says a source. But the former The View host is "more concerned with herself and her relationship with Tatum to care," the tipster close to the former couple reveals to Star.
