Rosie O’Donnell is talking about her long-time feud with Whoopi Goldberg. The book Ladies Who Punch revealed some of the secrets of The View drama that tore the pair apart. In a new interview, Rosie explained how their relationship went so sour and why it was “really painful” for her.

“Before I went on there, she was not that interested in The View,” the A League of Their Own actress claimed. “She wouldn’t talk when there were guests.” Andy agreed that Whoopi could be “disengaged.”

Rosie said she told Whoopi, “I only want to do it to do it with you.”

But any chance at getting along went out the window when Rosie threw an episode to commercial, which was Whoopi’s job. Whoopi thought she was gunning for the moderator’s chair.
