After 15 months, Taylor Swift may have been expecting a diamond ring from Calvin Harris, but instead he gave her "the talk." "Taylor not only rules the music industry, she also rules the roost," an insider told Star earlier this year in April. So much so that the 26-year-old decided who Calvin, 32, could collaborate with. For obvious reasons, Katy Perry was forever banned from his list.

The Scottish DJ wasn't even allowed to speak about the "Bad Blood" singer publicity. "Calvin's not even allowed to walk the red carpet with Taylor," an insider told Star in April, "even though he's basically a glorified accessory."

The couple's friends told Star in March that Calvin's horrible temper also gave the couple problems. "When he read Kanye West's tweets about her, he was literally shaking with rage. He just wanted to fight him," a source close to him told Star. "Calvin is a hot-headed Scotsman at heart, and you wouldn't want to get on his bad side. He gets mad very quickly about a lot of things."

A source told OK! in March that the DJ made it clear that he prefers one-on-one time with his pop star girlfriend. "He thinks it's great that she has a close-knit group of friends," the insider said, "but he'd rather not partake in girls' nights out." Still, the source added at the time that Calvin may have wanted to change his tune: "He'd better get used to being around her pals more, because they're not going anywhere."

As Calvin and Taylor got more serious in February, they began doing everything to make sure they would last — potentially forever — including, a source told OK!, pestering her squad for relationship advice. "She's constantly asking all of her girls about how to handle arguments, make compromises, give each other space," the insider said. "This is Taylor's first grown-up relationship."

Lastly, Calvin was caught visiting a seedy massage parlor in L.A. while Taylor was out of town. "Taylor vowed to be strong and not cave in to Calvin's denials, but that didn't last long," a source told Star in January. "The thought of jeopardizing their relationship was almost more terrifying to her than finding out he'd been up to no good in the first place."
