Could Meghan McCain be leaving The View to get back into politics? The firebrand host hinted as much to Andy Cohen during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live! After Show.
Meghan, 34, was in the Bravo clubhouse with Andy, 51, and The Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd. Andy played a question from a viewer.
“I’m a huge [The] View fan. I’m a conservative millennial as well,” the caller explained. “I’m just wondering if [Meghan] ever thought about running for office.”
Andy said it was a “good question.” Kelly, 44, chimed in, saying, “I’ll vote for you.”
Meghan admitted that she’d recently had a change of heart about this. She explained, “Honestly I didn’t [think about going into politics] for forever and then all of a sudden — Actually I saw [Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez], a clip of her documentary and she’s like, ‘Nobody was gonna do it so I thought I better do it.’”
“You’re a woman, you’re a woman. You have to do this,” Kelly encouraged her.
“If The View cancels me and fires me, I want to go back to politics in some form or another,” Meghan said. But she said she’s not sure she necessarily wants to be a politician herself.

It’s not clear if Meghan would actually decide to quit The View to pursue a political career, or if she might even decide to try to juggle politics on the side.
