The trailer for the highly anticipated film Cats, an adaptation of the hit Broadway musical, dropped on July 18. But excitement quickly turned into chaos as fans lost their minds over the “nightmare” footage. Viewers were baffled by the film’s “digital fur technology,” which turned Taylor Swift, James Corden, Rebel Wilson, Jennifer Hudson, Jason Derulo, Idris Elba, Judi Dench and Ian McKellen into cat-human hybrids.
