Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have legally parted ways in the marriage department.
According to court records obtained by People, a judgment of divorce was filed in New York’s Suffolk County Supreme Court on Thursday, June 12. The judgment was later uploaded to the website on Monday, June 23, with the case status marked as “disposed.”
The Greatest Showman star, 56, and the Shame actress, 69, split in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage. They initially released a joint statement to People, saying they were “blessed to share almost three decades together” and were moving forward “with gratitude, love and kindness.”
However, things between Jackman and Furness seemingly turned sour after the Deadpool & Wolverine star went public with Broadway star Sutton Foster in January 2025. Jackman and the two-time Tony Award winner, 50, co-starred in the Broadway revival of The Music Man from 2022 to 2023.

Furness officially filed for divorce on May 27. At the time, she gave a statement to the Daily Mail, telling the outlet, “My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal.”
“It’s a profound wound that cuts deep,” she added. “However I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us.”
A source told Star earlier this month, “Hugh moving on with Sutton so quickly was the last straw for Deb. It confirmed all her worst suspicions and changed the entire dynamic of their split.”
“He’s treated her like garbage and acted like a fraud — at least, in many of her friends’ eyes, considering his good-guy reputation, and it’s hard for her to disagree,” the insider claimed.

Jackman and Furness met in 1995 on the set of the Australian TV series Correlli. They tied the knot in 1996 and later adopted two children: Oscar, 25, and Ava, 19.
The source also confirmed that Furness has been getting offers to write a tell-all book on her marriage. “Friends are urging her to do it. It would provide closure and also send a message to the world — and her kids — that she’s going to stand up for herself,” the source shared.
As for Jackman, the source alleged that if a tell-all book were to be released, that would be “his worst nightmare” since “he’s such a private figure.”
