Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster ‘Thinking Very Seriously’ About Adopting a Child Together
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness became parents via adoption, welcoming Oscar in 2000 and Ava in 2005.
Sutton Foster and her estranged husband, Ted Griffin, are adoptive parents as well, with Emily joining them in 2017. “They’ll continue to give their all to their kids,” says a source, adding that the Music Man costars are looking forward to spending time together “as a happy blended family.”
They’re also looking ahead. “Hugh and Sutton are thinking very seriously about adding a child of their own to the mix,” also through adoption, reveals the source, and have broached the subject with their children. “Sutton has been yearning for a sibling for Emily,” explains the insider, adding that the little girl is “excited” by the prospect of a new sister or brother.
Hugh, meanwhile, was relieved to get positive feedback from Oscar and Ava on a possible new addition, says the source. “The divorce has been hard on his kids — on all of them,” explains the source, adding that parenthood brings “so much joy” to both Hugh and Sutton, “and they’d love to experience that together.”
