Halle Berry Playfully Claps Back At Ex-Husband David Justice’s Claim She Wasn’t ‘Motherly’

Halle Berry is responding to her former husband David Justice’s dig about how she didn’t “really seem like motherly” throughout their marriage.

On Thursday, August 14, the Catwoman actress celebrated her 59th birthday and posted an Instagram carousel filled with photos of herself in a tropical locale.

One picture included her boyfriend Van Hunt, and a second snap showed an envelope that read “mom,” seemingly from her children. The mother of two shares daughter Nahla, 17, with ex Gabriel Aubry, and son Maceo-Robert, 11, with ex-husband Olivier Martinez.

“Phew…! cooking, cleaning and mothering,” the Oscar winner captioned her post.

Fans took to the comment section to applaud the X-Man star for her witty response.

“Halle got em’ in they feelings all these years later!❤️,” one fan commented, to which Berry replied, “You know !!!! Nuts. ❤️.”

Justice, 59, made his dig at Berry — whom he was married to from 1993 to 1997 — on an episode of the All the Smoke podcast last week.

“My knowledge and my understanding, my wisdom around relationships just wasn’t vast,” the former MLB player admitted on the podcast. “So, I’m looking at my mom, and I’m a Midwest guy. So, in my mind, I’m thinking a wife at that time should cook, clean.”

“Then I’m thinking, ‘OK, if we have kids, is this the woman I want to have kids with and build a family with?'” Justice added. “At that time, as a young guy — she don’t cook, don’t clean, don’t really seem like motherly, and then we start having issues.”
