Leonardo DiCaprio ‘Leaning Towards’ Starting a Family with Vittoria Ceretti: ‘A Now or Never Situation’

Leonardo DiCaprio seemed to be indifferent when asked if he wanted to start a family.

“If it happens, it happens,” the Oscar-winning actor, 51, told Rolling Stone in 2016.

However, a source says he’s warming up to the idea a whole lot more these days.

“Leo has his worries about bringing kids into the world with the state it’s in,” Star‘s source admits. “At the same time, he has always envisioned himself being a father at some point and he’s getting to the age where it’s becoming a bit of a now or never situation.”

Especially if DiCaprio wants to be around for his kids’ college years, notes the source.

“He also has his mom [Irmelin Indenbirken] in the equation,” adds the source. “She really wants a grandchild and he wants to give that to her but she’s in her 80s now so the time is ticking.”

Model girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti isn’t “pressuring” the Titanic star to have kids, says the source. “But she has made it known she’d love to have a child with him.”

Recently, DiCaprio and Ceretti, 27, were joined on a dinner date at New York City’s Beefbar by close pal Tobey Maguire‘s 19-year-old daughter Ruby, per photos obtained by the Daily Mail.

“Leo does love kids. He’s great with them. That’s not the hold up,” the source notes.

“It’s more a case of him always finding an excuse to put it off,” explains the source. “But his back is against the wall now and he’s saying it’s time to decide once and for all and the good news is he does seem to be leaning towards making it happen, and soon.”
