Save a seat in the Litchfield cafeteria for a new inmate!
The producers of Orange Is The New Black are angling to bring Caitlyn Jenner on board for a season 4 cameo, according to a source on set.
The idea came about after the 65-year-old Olympian befriended transgender OITNB star Laverne Cox at the premiere of I Am Cait on July 20.
“Laverne thought Caitlyn’s personal narrative would dovetail nicely with the story line of her character, Sophia, whose prison pals turned on her last season,” explains the source. “It’s the perfect time for Caitlyn to come in and help Sophia take a stand against the bullies. Plus, with Cait’s popularity, she’d surely draw more viewers.” Sounds like it’s time for fresh fish!
Recently, Star reported that Caitlyn was devastated about the I Am Cait ratings falling flat. Even though the Keeping Up With The Kardashians “About Bruce” that aired in May brought in 17 millions viewers alone, Caitlyn didn’t expect such a low number to roll in for the I Am Cait premiere—only garnering 2.7 million viewers.
“Caitlyn is unhappy with the numbers, and hates losing to Kris Jenner, and the rest of the Kardashian family. There has been tremendous pressure on Caitlyn, and she feels that she has let the transgender community down,” an insider told RadarOnline.com.
