Two and a half weeks after Teresa Giudice entered a correctional facility in Danbury, Conn., her oldest daughter, Gia gives an update on how the reality star is doing — and how the family is coping at home.
While Teresa Giudice continues to serve her prison sentence in Connecticut, her oldest daughter, Gia, is hard at work on a music career with her girl group, 3KT.
While promoting the group on ‘Access Hollywood,’ the 14-year-old gave an update on her mom’s life behind bars. “She always just told me, ‘Stay strong for mommy. You’ll see me soon,'” Gia explained. “She’s doing amazing.”
At just 14, Gia is the oldest of four, and has taken over as mom while the ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ star serves her time. “I knew it was coming, but my sisters are okay,” she admitted. “They obviously miss her dearly, but we’re okay.”
Teresa has already been given an early release date, and her sentence is expected to end before Christmas. Once that time comes, Joe Giudice will serve his 41 months, but until then, he’s raising four daughters alone. “My dad has been amazing,” Gia gushed. “He’s honestly the rock. He’s been helping us so much.”
And, luckily, the family is able to keep in touch with mom throughout the ordeal. “We can talk to her on the daily,” Gia revealed. “We have access to e-mailing her whenever we want. It definitely helps with coping with missing her and stuff.”
