When your show’s biggest star goes to prison, future success is questionable! For Bravo, that could very well mean pulling The Real Housewives of New Jersey off the air until Teresa Giudice finishes serving her 15-month sentence.
According to TMZ, the network has yet to decide what to do about the hit show, which Teresa has starred on since Season One. The site reports that there’s fears that episodes without the most popular and drama-filled cast member won’t do well, which would lead to sooner-than-later cancellation.
Instead, TMZ reports, Bravo may wait until the reality star’s sentence is up (she’s actually received an early release date, and is expected out from behind bars in February 2016) to start filming a new season. The network hasn’t commented.
The most recent season of RHONJ aired from July-November, and a major storyline involved Teresa’s looming prison sentence and reconciliation with castmates Dina Manzo and Melissa Gorga.
